Today, Art Center alumnus Christopher Rhoades, Chief Designer at Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design, and Margaret Weis, Vice President of Advanced Design, visited Art Center to talk about the company's new strategic initiative focused on Mercedes-Benz Style. This new branch will focus on furniture, luggage and other non-automotive products and they are looking to Art Center's graduates to help provide leadership for this work. According to Christopher, approximately 80% of the studio's current designers are Art Center graduates. Clearly, it has been a good partnership and they are hoping to engage even more deeply with the College.
